Abstract

Factors Affecting the Profitability of Smart Farming and Its Impact on Sustainability. (A Case of a Vegetable Farmer in Pacet District, Cianjur Regency, West Java Province). Under the guidance of Euis Dasipah and Dety Sukmawati.

The study aims to find out the Factors Affecting the Success of Smart Farming of Red Pepper and Its Sustainability. In the form of verifiable research, the technique used is a survey of respondents who are set to a census of 65 units. Hypothesis testing uses two-track analysis. The results of the study were obtained The social factors of farmers who practice smart farming in red chili commodities consist of dimensions: education, knowledge and insight, and farming experience obtained an achievement level of 72.44% good criteria. Technical Factors consisting of dimensions: Convenience; Conformity; Relative advantages; Tested; It can be observed that the achievement level of 75.15% of the good criteria and the diversity of economic factors consisting of the following dimensions: Land area; Capital; and market guarantee obtained an achievement level of 75.00% good criteria. The Success of Smart Farming of Red Chili which consists of the following dimensions: Product Quality, Productivity, and Efficiency Farming obtained an achievement rate of 72.18% of good criteria. The Success of Smart Farming for large red chili farms that consist of; product quality; Productivity; and farming efficiency.obtained an achievement level of 75.90% of the Good criteria. Social factors were positively correlated with technical factors with a correlation coefficient of rX1X2 = 0.160. Social factors were positively correlated with economic factors with rX1X3 = 0.255 and technical factors were positively correlated with economic factors with rX2X3 = 0.182.Social factors, Technical Factors and economic factors had a positive effect on the success of smart farming of red peppers. Contribution each: 11.79 %; 27,10 %; and 31.06 percent. Social factors; technical factors, economic factors and the success of Smart Farming have a positive effect on the Sustainability of Smart Farming. Contribution each: 8.39 %; 61,15; 18.49% and 9.60%.
