ANALISIS EFISIENSI USAHA TANI CABAI MERAH (Capsicum annum L.)

Abstract

The annual increase in productivity of large red chili peppers underscores the importance of this commodity in Indonesia. However, this increase in productivity is not matched by farmers' knowledge and skills in financial accounting. Therefore, an analysis of the efficiency of large red chili farming is necessary. This study aims to determine the popularity of the large red chili farming business and the level of efficiency in Mr. Hendi's large red chili cultivation. The research method used is a case study with a descriptive analysis using a quantitative approach. Data collection techniques include observation and interviews. The method used to determine respondents is purposive sampling. The results show that the analysis of large red chili farming was conducted in Campakawarna Village, Campakamulya District, Cianjur Regency, cultivated by Mr. Hendi on 1 hectare of land planted with large red chilies. The harvest in this season reached 9,280 kg with a selling price of Rp. 28,000/kg, resulting in total revenue of Rp. 259,840,000. The total cost incurred by Mr. Hendi was Rp. 134,484,000, with the largest expense being labor costs, amounting to Rp. 44,230,000. The income per season is Rp. 125,356,000/ha/season. The R/C ratio obtained is 1.93, which indicates that the business is efficient and feasible to pursue. It is recommended that the owner consider assistance for tasks that do not require many workers, such as plant maintenance, to reduce labor costs. Additionally, labor management can be improved through scheduling, clear task division, control, and supervision.
