PENGARUH PERAN DAN KINERJA PENYULUH PERTANIAN LAPANG (PPL) TERHADAP PENERAPAN TEKNOLOGI DAN DAMPAKNYA TERHADAP PENDAPATAN USAHATANI PADI (Oryza sativa, L)

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the Role of PPL and PPL Performance on the Application of Technology and its impact on Rice Farm Income.  This study used a survey method of rice farmers in Rawamerta District, Labupaten Karawang.   Respondents were determined by drawing a simple random sample obtained by 70 respondent farmers. The form of research is verifiative and the analysis techniques used are path analysis and Analysis of Variance.  Based on the results of the study obtained. The Role of Field Agricultural Extension Workers (PPL) obtained 77.12% of good criteria, PPL Performance of 75.26% of good criteria, and Application of Technology 77.30% of good criteria. There is a positive correlation between PPL and PPL Performance which is indicated by the correlation coefficient number r = 0.705. The better the PPL Role, the better the PPL Performance.  The role of PPL and PPL Performance positively affect the Application of Technology, with their contributions of 31.87% and 40.55% respectively. The Level of Technology Application has a positive effect on Rice Farm Income, Income with a Very Good Technology Application Rate is obtained Rp 22,971,097 / ha; Good Technology Rp21,040,973/ha; and Application of Technology Enough Rp 18,976,883/ha. There is still a level of achievement in the application of technology that reaches sufficient criteria. This needs to be considered by PPL officers so that it is even better by increasing the role of PPL.
