The sub-sector that has an important role and provides the largest contribution to the country's foreign exchange earnings is the food crop sub-sector, one of which is rice. This study aims to analyze the comparison, development, and growth of rice paddy between Indonesia and Malaysia in the period 2013-2022. This study also reviews the rice trade between Indonesia and Malaysia and the process of rice distribution in both countries. This study was conducted at the Malaysian Institute of Agricultural Research and Advancement MARDI in 2024. The data used in this study was obtained from secondary data sources such as FAO, FOSTAT and Padiberas Nasional Berhad (BERNAS). The methodology used in this research is descriptive analysis method where the data is carefully selected and then compare the data. The results show that the analysis of Indonesia's rice commodity is better than Malaysia. The level of paddy productivity in Indonesia and Malaysia has a significant difference every year, the Indonesian paddy marketing chain is not much different from the Malaysian paddy marketing chain and there is a difference between the price of paddy and rice.
