Tantangan Ketahanan Pangan dan Climate Change di Kabupaten Bekasi

Abstract

Food security is defined as the availability of sufficient and sustainable food. It encompasses the availability of food in terms of quantity and quality, diversity, safety, and accessibility to all segments of society. Climate Change and global warming issues have the potential to decrease agricultural production. The conversion of agricultural land to built-up areas and environmental pollution are significant concerns in Bekasi Regency for enhancing agricultural productivity as part of food security efforts. This study employs quantitative and qualitative methods, along with GIS analysis, to assess food carrying capacity, vulnerability, and food security in Bekasi Regency, thereby producing comprehensive and structured data on food supply and demand. The findings of this research are expected to help map food productivity in Bekasi Regency and serve as a reference for stakeholders in formulating policies related to food security.
