Publication Ethics

Introduction / Pendahuluan

Sadeli: Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat is a peer-reviewed journal published by the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM), Universitas Winaya Mukti.
This journal upholds the highest standards of publication ethics and follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI).

Sadeli: Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat merupakan jurnal yang ditelaah sejawat (peer-reviewed) dan diterbitkan oleh Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (LPPM) Universitas Winaya Mukti. Jurnal ini menjunjung tinggi standar etika publikasi ilmiah serta berpedoman pada panduan Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) dan Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI).

All parties involved in the publishing process editors, reviewers, authors, and the publisher must adhere to ethical behavior and integrity throughout the publication process.
Seluruh pihak yang terlibat dalam proses penerbitan editor, reviewer, penulis, dan penerbit wajib mematuhi perilaku etis dan menjunjung integritas selama proses publikasi berlangsung.

1. Duties of Authors / Tugas Penulis

Originality and Plagiarism / Keaslian dan Plagiarisme

Authors must ensure that their manuscripts are original and have not been published elsewhere. Proper citation and acknowledgment of the work of others are required. Plagiarism in all its forms constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.

Penulis harus memastikan bahwa naskah yang dikirim merupakan karya asli dan belum pernah diterbitkan sebelumnya. Setiap kutipan dan penggunaan karya pihak lain harus disertai sumber yang tepat. Segala bentuk plagiarisme dianggap sebagai perilaku publikasi yang tidak etis dan tidak dapat diterima.

Multiple or Concurrent Publication / Publikasi Ganda

Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously is considered unethical.
Mengirimkan naskah yang sama ke lebih dari satu jurnal pada waktu bersamaan dianggap sebagai pelanggaran etika publikasi.

Authorship / Kepengarangan

Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the study.
Kepengarangan hanya diperuntukkan bagi individu yang memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap perancangan, pelaksanaan, atau interpretasi penelitian.

Acknowledgment of Sources / Pengakuan Sumber

Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given.
Setiap sumber yang digunakan dalam penulisan harus diakui dengan benar.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest / Pengungkapan dan Konflik Kepentingan

Authors must disclose any financial or other substantive conflict of interest that might influence the interpretation of their results.
Penulis harus mengungkapkan setiap potensi konflik kepentingan, baik keuangan maupun non-keuangan, yang dapat memengaruhi interpretasi hasil penelitian.

2. Duties of Editors / Tugas Editor

Publication Decisions / Keputusan Publikasi

Editors are responsible for deciding which articles are suitable for publication. The decision must be based on the academic quality and relevance of the manuscript.
Editor bertanggung jawab menentukan artikel yang layak diterbitkan berdasarkan kualitas ilmiah dan relevansi naskah.

Fair Play / Keadilan

Editors must evaluate manuscripts based solely on their intellectual merit, without regard to the authors’ race, gender, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy.
Editor harus menilai naskah secara objektif tanpa mempertimbangkan ras, jenis kelamin, agama, etnis, kewarganegaraan, atau pandangan politik penulis.

Confidentiality / Kerahasiaan

Editors must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, editorial board, and publisher.
Editor tidak boleh mengungkapkan informasi mengenai naskah yang dikirimkan kepada pihak mana pun selain penulis korespondensi, reviewer, dewan redaksi, dan penerbit.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest / Pengungkapan dan Konflik Kepentingan

Editors must not use unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript for their own research without written consent from the author.
Editor tidak boleh menggunakan materi yang belum dipublikasikan dalam naskah untuk kepentingan pribadi tanpa izin tertulis dari penulis.

3. Duties of Reviewers / Tugas Reviewer

Contribution to Editorial Decisions / Kontribusi terhadap Keputusan Editorial

Reviewers assist the editor in making editorial decisions and may also help authors improve their manuscripts.
Reviewer membantu editor dalam pengambilan keputusan editorial dan memberikan saran konstruktif bagi perbaikan naskah.

Confidentiality / Kerahasiaan

All manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents.
Semua naskah yang diterima untuk ditelaah harus diperlakukan sebagai dokumen rahasia.

Objectivity / Objektivitas

Reviews should be conducted objectively, and reviewers should express their views clearly with supporting arguments.
Penilaian harus dilakukan secara objektif, disertai pendapat yang jelas dan argumentatif.

Acknowledgment of Sources / Pengakuan Sumber

Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors.
Reviewer harus menunjukkan literatur relevan yang belum disitasi oleh penulis.

4. Duties of the Publisher / Tugas Penerbit

The publisher (LPPM Universitas Winaya Mukti) ensures that all stages of publication are conducted ethically and transparently. The publisher works closely with editors to maintain academic integrity and handle any suspected cases of misconduct.

Penerbit (LPPM Universitas Winaya Mukti) memastikan seluruh tahapan publikasi dilaksanakan secara etis dan transparan. Penerbit bekerja sama dengan editor dalam menjaga integritas ilmiah serta menangani setiap dugaan pelanggaran etika publikasi.

In cases of proven misconduct such as plagiarism, falsification, or data fabrication, the publisher reserves the right to retract or correct the published work and take necessary actions according to COPE guidelines.
Dalam hal ditemukan pelanggaran seperti plagiarisme, falsifikasi, atau fabrikasi data, penerbit berhak menarik atau memperbaiki artikel yang telah diterbitkan dan mengambil tindakan sesuai pedoman COPE.
