Abstract

Forest and land rehabilitation are an effort to restore the function of areas that have been degraded due to deforestation or forest degradation. However, various challenges hinder the effective implementation of rehabilitation activities, resulting in a low success rate. This research aims to identify the factors influencing the successful implementation of forest and land rehabilitation (RHL) activities in Block BJR-3, Tingkem Village. Data were collected through field surveys and in-depth interviews with local communities and analyzed descriptively. The results indicate that the implementation of forest and land rehabilitation in Block BJR-3, Tingkem Village, faces several obstacles that hinder its success. These include the presence of multiple area managers across different villages, free-roaming community livestock at the project site, pest infestations affecting plants, inadequate maintenance, and a lack of supervision from relevant stakeholders. consequently, these challenges have led to suboptimal implementation of the rehabilitation activities.
